  Tulsidas is a name that every Indian might have heard at least once in their life, he was more popularly known as Goswami Tulsidas.
He is one of the most treasured poets and saints in India. He was a great worshipper of Lord Rama and expressed his admiration for Lord Rama in his compositions. Hee was the writer
of Raamcharitmanas, a Sanskrit version of Ramayana which is also known as the Indian Bible.

Every year, his birthday is celebrated as the Tulsidas Jayanthi. Tulsidas was born on the seventh day of the Shukla paksha in the month of Shravan according to the Hindu calendar, 
this date falls in August usually. This day gives every Hindu devotee a chance to express their gratitude towards the writer who popularized Ramayana in the whole of India.

Who Was Goswami Tulsidas?
He was among the greatest poets ever to be born in world literature. His compositions include the important scripture Ramcharitramanas and the popular Hanuman Chalisa. He wrote many 
books that expound on the Indian ideology and Sanatan dharma. Another famous book written by Tulsidas is Kavitavali.
